How It Works

Do Good Diapers

The Delivery Service:

On the same day, once per week Do Good Diapers will deliver fresh, clean cloth diapers directly to your door and remove the soiled diapers.

  1. Remove the cloth diapers from the liner and place near your changing table
  2. Place the liner inside your diaper pail
  3. After changing your baby – place the soiled cloth diaper in the pail.
  4. On delivery day:
    a.    Remove the liner from the diaper pail
    b.    Tie / cinch the liner shut
    c.    Place the liner bag of soiled cloth diapers in the pre-designated area.

Getting Started:

When you start cloth diapering you will need to have the following items:

Diaper Pail: We recommend using a regular kitchen garbage bin with a good lid. These are available at any Target, Ikea or Home Depot.

Diaper Covers: We recommend 7 – 10 covers for newborns and 5 – 7 covers for infants and toddlers.  You can buy covers from Do Good Diapers for $8/cover or from most baby boutiques throughout the Twin Cities including Peapods and Linden Hill Natural Home.

Wet Bag: Used for when you are out and about.  Simply place the dirty diaper in the bag and place it in your pail when you get home.  Most diaper bags have specific compartments for wet items and wet bags can be purchased from most baby stores. We will soon be selling all sorts of products on our website so check back here also.

How to Fold: There are several different techniques out there on how to fold a cloth diaper. Click here to see the different types of folds and how to use a diaper cover.

The Rotation System:

Do Good Diapers uses a rotation system to deliver your cloth diapers.  The 1st and 2nd delivery will consist of the amount ordered. Subsequent deliveries will be the amount returned to us the previous week.

Example:
1st delivery: Do Good Diapers delivers 80 cloth diapers
2nd delivery/pick up: We deliver 80 clean cloth diapers and pick up 75 (varies) soiled diapers
3rd delivery/pick up: We deliver 75 clean diapers and pick up 77 soiled diapers
4th deliver/pick up: We deliver 77 clean diapers and pick up 65 soiled diapers
